Today's my birthday, and I'm having a lovely, lovely day! Mr. Bonnet took me out and bought me the most gorgeous fuchsia plant for my garden. Look how enormous and juicy it is! And the blooms are a beautiful pale pink, and um... fuchsia! color.
And then I did some lazy dreaming in the garden. It's coming along slowly but surely. The sunbeams are finally out. And the dog(s) are out enjoying sunbeams too.
And what would every girl want to be knitting on her birthday? Why Qiviut, of course! I've been knitting this little precious ball of cloud. This is going to be the softest cowl/neckwarmer ever.
I've also gotten this great big pile of fun out and I'm trying to figure out what to make from all of this Noro Silk Garden. I've tried a few different approaches, including striping and panels, but none of them were singing to me and they all got frogged. The problem is that they're very disparate colors. The look great in this big pile but when I start putting them side by side in the knitting I wasn't so happy. Any ideas for a good project?
I like the long color changes in a pattern like Lazy Katy, a cross between a shawlette and a scarf. Pattern is on Ravelry.

Felicitations on your natal day, and what a dilemma, what to do with all that silk garden. Patchwork! It takes the mitred square one step further. you can find a quilt motif that appeals to you and execute it in knitting. A scarf, shawl, blanket. mobius vest, or jacket, depending on mood and yardage.

Happy birthday!
I highly recommend Motley for (some of) the Noro: http://www.knitty.com/ISSUEdf10/PATTmotley.php I love mine, and I think the better versions are the ones made with more disparate colors; the ones that overlap too much aren't as fun.

Wishing your next trip around the sun to be full of joy and happiness. Thank you for your lovely designs - they've made my year happier thus far. I'd also go with something patchwork for that Silk Garden. Enjoy!

Great post. I tried some different approaches, such as scratches and signs, but none of them were singing for me and they all frogs.

Awesome post shared by you. I like neck warmer and it's blue color also. In fact my favorite color is blue. Your second picture with greenery is really beautiful.
