I spent a lovely day yesterday driving down from Oregon to Northern California for Stitches West. This is the pretty part of the drive (when you drop below Sacramento it becomes endless stretches of not much to see). Now I am ensconced at the hotel here in Santa Clara preparing for my spinning class tomorrow. We will be "getting the most from a handpainted roving" !
I am rooming with Cookie A., who is a fabulous roommate to have because she brings tangerines with her - mmmmmm....
If you're here at Stitches, I hope we meet up!
Have fun at Stitches, Janel. It's awesome to room with Cookie A--can't wait to see what the two of you drum up into the nights!

Thanks for the fotos! It sounds like a fun fun fun event, so I'm living vicariously through others' experience until I get my chance to brave the open road again.

Janel, I had such a wonderful time in your class on Friday. Finished spinning some more last night -- Faux-ro -- I am so excited to try and apply your principles to sock yarn (3-ply). It might scramble my brain, but that's okay.
