Thank you everyone for all the great comments about Lothlorien. Watch for another LOTR pattern later on. But for now, the new pattern for the week is Selkie!
Denizens of the deep, Selkies are shapeshifting seal-humans. Steal a selkie’s seal skin and you make them bound to the land. Although selkies may come ashore from time to time and change into human form, they always long for the sea. These socks are for sea loving creatures of all types. Long strands of seaweed run from toe to top, reminding us of the primordial ocean and all her glories. Make some selkie socks to wear when the lure of the sea pulls at your soul...
Comment Contest Reminder - each day I'm giving away a downloadable version of the featured pattern. This week's featured pattern is Selkie. Leave a comment and you'll be automatically entered for the random drawing. Winners are chosen by random number generator. Each Sunday I choose one person by random number to win a copy of the book when it comes out! So keep commenting to be entered for the drawing.

Seen an interesting movie about Selkies a while back called "The Secret of Roan Inish" (1994).

Being Celtic, of the Welsh variety, I love the old stories and ledgends! The sock is such a beautiful design and I too have just the right yarn stashed away.
("The Secret of Roan Inish" has always been one of my favorite movies too)

That is a great color choice for a sea-type sock! I'm looking forward to the new book, I love Eclectic Sole!
And yay for the gas company. Didn't Sears realize that you were dealing with a health and safety hazard? I'm thinking telling you what they did may have been illegal. Thank goodness the gas company is reliable!
