Remember yesterday - when I needed a yarn hug? Well, I did a little stash toss and came up with the perfect yarn hug - in the form of this.
Solstice yarn, from Portland Oregon. Gotta send out some love to my local peeps.
This is Luna Sock, a merino/cashmere yarn. mmmmmm.... cashmere. This is a nice plump kind of sock yarn, squishably soft and luxurious. In Race. Car. Red. Which I think makes the perfect holiday yarn hug.
Look how pretty it is in the cake. Is there anything more delicious than a Christmassy cashmere yarn cake?
I'm going to make this - it's a sweet little cowl I designed a few years ago for a "spinning for lace" class I was teaching. That's handspun yak fiber - also very soft and delicious, but hard to find that yarn on the market... heheh. You could make some yourself - or you could just use Race. Car. Red.
Maybe I'll have it ready to wear on the Solstice - seems appropriate, no? I can't wait for airplane knitting to commence!

Airplane knitting!! One of my favorite things!!
