I just spent the weekend in lovely Long Beach, CA at the TNNA tradeshow. TNNA is always a lot of fun because I get to see the new yarns, meet up with old friends, learn new things about the industry and have great meals. This time around was extra fun because I was buying yarn. A lot of yarn. Sock yarn for sock clubs. Pretty, pretty sock yarn. I'd like to reveal more, but of course then someone would have to be killed... ahem... Let me just say, this year's sock clubs are going to be yummy.
TNNA is a tradeshow and because new products are revealed, you're not supposed to take pictures. However, I did ask permission to get a picture of this product. I tried to buy it on the spot, but they only had a floor model... heheheh. I had to be content with a picture of the cutest thing I saw at TNNA. Let me introduce the Owen, model 2011.
Don't you hope an Owen 2011 will be coming to a shop near you? Cat Bordhi was also entranced by the Owen, and I think she might be trying to steal the heart of the floor model here... or maybe he's stealing hers.
Cookie A was there signing her new book Knit. Sock. Love. And I got to take a picture of her and Tabetha in a moment of fangirl love. Tabetha is a wonderful knitter who did some samples for The Enchanted Sole and is now producing her own designs. It was great to get to meet Tabetha in person.
Cookie's hair might have been matching her book cover... just sayin'
One of the best parts of TNNA for me is hanging out with the designers and knitterati. Here's a power lunch with Anne Hanson and her handsome hubby David, Rosemary Hill, Jess & Casey and baby ravelry, Mary Heather, Sarah, Miriam Felton, Cookie A. and Ysolda Teague!
I'm almost home from this whirlwind of fun, but my plane got diverted at the last moment due to heavy fog so I'm spending a night about 100 miles from home. Can't wait to get home and see what's in the mail... I expect there might be something good there... like a big box of yarn. yummmmmm.

Nice round-up of TNNA! What a wonderful group of lunch companions too....quite a brain trust and combo of yarny stars!!

Informative post I like it. Thank you for making a genuine effort to explain this. I feel quite strongly about it and want to learn more.
