I have been working extremely hard the last several days (weeks, months) to try and have this book ready for Sock Summit. However, it is pretty unlikely that that is going to happen, there's just too much left to do, and I would have to get it to the printer by Wednesday for this miracle to occur. The book will be out in August though, probably the middle of August.
Because the book won't be at Sock Summit, I will have some other kind of special promotion at Sock Summit, but I need to take a few days to think it through before I announce the details. So if you are attending Sock Summit, keep your eye out here on the blog for more information.
For those of you who pre-ordered the book or are thinking of pre-ordering, all pre-orders will arrive signed by me. (here's a little secret, I love signing books - it makes me feel so grown up!). The pre order deal is 10% off plus free shipping, signed by me. Pre-order sales will end July 31 and after that you will have to buy it from your LYS or online through a yarn store or a bookseller like Amazon.
Happy Fourth of July! The weather is beautiful here in PA, I hope it is nice where you are as well.
Still hoping to win the Talking Fish pattern. ;-)

I'm sure the book will be available as soon as you can make it happen. I wasn't going to be able to attend Sock Summit any way. Will the socks won on this blog be signed by you? I hope you are having a lovely 4th of July today...cheryl

That's too bad about the Sock Summit, but I know the book's worth waiting for! I'll just think of it as a birthday present. : ) (My birthday's mid August)

Janel,
It is a book worth waiting for! It is better to put it forth into the world wholly as you want it - not just to meet the sock summit deadline. You have been very generous in revealing and sharing with your readers.

Hope you are having a lovely 4th.
I'm sorry that the book isn't going to make it to SS but I am sure what ever you have will be well received. Have a good time.

Mid August is just around the corner. I can't even imagine the pressure you're dealing with but I'd rather wait and have a book that you are happy with than to have something that was rushed into production.
