Oops! my last post posted before I was quite done with it, but I'll have more info in the next few days anyhow. I hope you all had a lovely 4th of July for those who celebrate, and lovely Saturday for those who don't!
I started off the day by buying a bicycle!! Wheee! But then, unfortunately, I ended up spending most of my day in the emergency veterinary clinic with a sick cat. The good news is, It looks like he'll be ok I think.
Anyhow, here, as promised, is a new sock pattern.... Firebird! Hope this brings a little fireworks to your day. Ravelry info and other stuff will go up tomorrow.
The firebird is a mystical creature whose brilliant red plumage glows with the intensity of a bonfire. Just one tailfeather from the firebird is enough to light an entire room. The firebird flies around the land spreading hope and beauty. Woe to those who might try to capture it! The firebird socks can also light up a room with just a few feathers.
Oh my...this Firebird pattern is exhilarating! Every pattern just gets better and better. I am so looking forward to my (signed) book! Thanks for sharing.

Glad your kit is on the other side of the ER visit. The socks are grand. And I'm shopping for a bike, so curious about yours. Mine has a frame that is too small, although it got me hooked on biking.

I have to join the chorus of "Amazing!" I am a nut for anything with wings on it -- I know I will have to make these socks.
Also, best wishes for the kitty . . .

Wow! I love to see the ways you are using the sock as a canvas - a very different approach to colorwork than most sock designs.

You are an amazing designer! Don't be too sad about not getting the book finished before Sock Summit - the buzzz has to be tremendous already. Plus it'll give everybody something to look forward to after they come off the high of S.S!
