The reason I haven't been blogging much knitting content lately is because I'm working on a new book and things are under wraps at the moment. It's another sock book - due out later this year. I'm working up some samples for it right now and I just got in a new sock yarn that I love - Dye Dreams Luster Sox. This stuff is delish! it's a superwash BFL in semi-solid colors that show stitch detail so well. It really is lustrous too.
I'm using these colors for one of the designs in the book. I also got a set of their color cards - look at all the beautiful colors!
And if you're not too bored with flower pics yet, I've been stalking my garden with the camera again.
I just love this twiggy bush with the pretty magenta flowers.
This gorgeous pink tree is in the meadow next to our house and we see it right out our dining room windows. I bet it will look beautiful when pink petals are carpeting the grass under it too. I love these pink trees, they're blooming all over town - I think they're some kind of ornamental plum, but I'm not sure.
See that? my yard was covered with the evidence of deer visitors yesterday. We haven't seen any deer yet but my Sherlock Holmes skills tell me that they come and eat my lily leaves. We did see a flock of wild turkeys run through the yard though, and a raccoon likes to visit our hot tub.
Tomorrow we drive back down to Los Angeles to do some work and ship some stuff. Sadly I'll have to put my love affair with my new house on hold for a little while to attend to business.
Hey, have you seen the list of classes they just posted on the Sock Summit website!??! Wowee Zowee!
