2008 has been quite a year of changes for me, and the holiday season has brought some of the biggest.
- career change
- purchase of a new home
I'm a little behind on all my normal stuff, so if you're waiting to hear from me, send a gentle reminder, I've been in outer space these last few days.
But it's ended with bang... we just closed on our first house! We're late bloomers when it comes to the home owning thing - we've waited a long time to be able to say we own our home and I have to say it tastes very sweet indeed. So, if you're a late bloomer too, take heart, save your pennies and wait for the economy to go to hell in a handbasket and you too might get a home some day...
The house is in Eugene, Oregon, and Mr. Bonnet and I will be transitioning to living full time in Oregon over the next year. We're in Oregon now, whooping it up in our new house, but come the crack of dawn, 2009, we'll be hitting the roads back to Southern California, where I'll begin packing up and cleaning out all our stuff that's been accumulating for the last 20 years. So in the spirit of ringing out the old and ringing in the new I'm offering destash prizes to 3 randomly chosen winners from among those who can correctly guess which of these houses Mr. Bonnet and I bought... (If I've already shown you a picture or described the house, please guess by emailing me privately so as not to bias the guessing!)
House 2 with a built in solarium and skylights, beautiful Japanese maples and a great price
So which of these do you think is the Beebonnet style? post a comment and, if you guess correctly you'll be entered in the random stash giveaway!
Mr. Bonnet and I wish all of you a Happy New Year, and hope that your dreams come true like ours did.
