My mother used to say "I'm busier than a one-legged man in a butt-kicking contest" (that was before the days of political correctness) and that is how I have been too. I just got back from Michigan where I had a FANTASTIC time at The Spinning Loft teaching my "how to get the most from a handpainted roving" and "kitchen sink yarns" classes. The participants were wild and fun and might I add a little bit "naughty" and we all laughed and spun and had a great time. Beth Smith, the owner of The Spinning Loft is truly the hostess with the mostest! She treated me like a princess the entire time and we all enjoyed the delicious home made strudel she had for breakfast on the second day!
We had a slumber party in the shop on the first night, and it was a rollicking good time full of fibery hilarity. I will post some pictures of it tomorrow (when I have had time to get them off of my camera).
In the meantime, let me tell you a bit about what I have been working on.... the return of Spindlicity! Yay! I know I've promised its return earlier, but it is hard to find the time to work on something so time consuming when you make no money from it (in fact I have lost money every issue). But I now have a group of compadres to help me out, and together we are working on a new and improved Spindlicity, so far the best issue ever! The new Spindlicity is scheduled to launch this fall, I'll announce a date as we get closer to it. I want to tell you all the great new improvements (because it's really hard for me to keep a secret) but I can't just yet.... keep your eyes peeled, lot's of fibery goodness on the horizon!
