OK, as promised here is a pic of the finished "rasta" socks! they're anklets and quite warm, but still a little loose. I don't know how much this yarn might possibly shrink in the wash since it's superwash, but I hope they'll tighten up just a little. I'm now adjusting the pattern that lives in my head to fewer stitches and I also bought smaller needles (size 0!)to tighten up my way-loose knitting.
Her's a pic of the toe, but you can't really see how ugly it looks. Trust me, it's not the most attractive way to decrease a toe. But it is functional and these socks feel great!
And for my latest efforts... YARN!
Here are my newest yarns in one pound skeins. These are going up on the chameleon colorworks website later today.
I've actually felted Superwash by using regular laundry detergent (rather than a wool-sensitive one) and running through a hot wash and dryer. It was a hand-spun, hand knitted vest and I'm glad that it's too big to wear now, because it really hurt to see what I did to it.
But if my experience helps you out, then maybe it was worth it.
Your new yarns are GORGEOUS! Is the orange/pink one Indian Wedding? I have designs for my handspun from that roving, to try corderoy using the leftover warp from my weaving class last weekend.

Janel you are such a glorious overachiever! I love the yarn-the socks and the plying tips but, for the culturally challenged, who is the guy in the Vegas pictures?
